Sophia McCourt is a Licensed Professional Counselor who takes a person-centered and integrative approach to therapy, rooted in a genuine commitment to understanding each client’s story and perspective. She specializes in supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life transitions, manage anxiety and depression, and heal from the lingering effects of childhood trauma. With a trauma-informed and evidence-based framework, Sophia guides her clients in gaining clarity, processing the past, and building a life that feels authentic, balanced, and aligned with their values.
She believes therapy is a collaborative process and works alongside her clients to equip them with tools for lasting change, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships. Sophia earned her Bachelor’s degree in public health from Kent State University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University. She is passionate about making therapy accessible and meaningful, and she values walking with clients through every season of life as they move toward healing and growth.
